ABOUT

Practice Philosophy

One of the kindest things we can do for ourselves and for others is give a little grace. We're all living life for the first time, and it's normal to have both little moments and prolonged periods where we stumble and fumble our way through. We are immersed in a culture that pressures us to know more, do more, be more. We have endless information and choice at our fingertips, and sometimes, the world can feel like it's too big or too much when all we're trying to do is find ourselves and our peace in our own little corner of it. Therapy is an opportunity to settle into that corner and to dedicate protected time to yourself: to overcome obstacles, to form connected relationships, to change patterns of behavior, to brave fears, to discover what brings you fulfillment, to release what's holding you down, and to find balance in the ups and downs of being human.

My hope for my clients is that you feel permission to embrace who you are today, that you feel committed to taking manageable steps toward your goals for a better tomorrow, and that you give yourself grace when your journey doesn't look how you thought it might. There is no single right way to do this. Together, we will find the way that works for you.
