A Virtual Psychology Practice
Billing Information
Casey Dillon, PhD, LLC is an out-of-network practice. Operating independently of insurance companies offers a range of freedoms and benefits to both client and therapist:
Quality care: My practice maintains a smaller client base, enabling me to dedicate more time, energy, and expertise to understanding and addressing the unique needs of each client. This is accomplished by committing client-free workdays to conference attendance, continuing education (e.g., trainings, books, webinars, podcasts), case review, peer consultation, and session preparation.
Treatment flexibility: Without the constraints of insurance policies and regulations (e.g., diagnostic requirements, session frequency limits, covered treatment modalities), I can offer tailored services focused exclusively on the best interest of the client.
Client confidentiality: Client privacy is more securely kept when therapists are not required to submit protected health information to third party payors.
For clients with out-of-network mental health benefits, Casey Dillon, PhD, LLC offers two options for submitting insurance claims:
1. The practice can submit a monthly superbill to your insurance provider on your behalf.
2. The practice can provide you with a monthly superbill so you may submit to your insurance provider directly.
Reimbursement rates vary depending on multiple factors, including out-of-network benefits, client deductibles, customary reimbursement rates, and policy limits.
